I Know a Place is a cultural agency founded by Gladys Nyoth, bridging ancestral legacy and modern design.

We exist to restore what systems forgot — the power of culture as currency, and connection as design.
Our work gathers visionaries, brands, and organizations who move with purpose, shaping the future through creativity, leadership, and truth.

Rooted in family values and cooperative leadership, we cultivate partnerships that honor reciprocity, longevity and legacy

Through intentional gatherings, experiential dinners, and strategic collaborations, we transform ideas into living ecosystems — where humanity leads, culture breathes, and legacy evolves.

Who is The Afro Poppins?

Who Are We?

Gladys Nyoth, also known as The Afro Poppins, is an immersive chef, actress, and cultural architect shaping the future of human connection through art, ancestry, and hospitality.

Born in France with roots in the Bassa tribe of Cameroon, she designs experiences that honor memory, legacy, and belonging — blending creative expression with cultural leadership.

Her work spans Los Angeles, the East Coast, and Paris — each location serving as a living map for a future eco-village on her ancestral land, where community, sustainability, and cultural continuity converge.

With over a decade of international experience, she has collaborated with global brands such as Adidas and institutions like Dillard University, integrating cultural intelligence and human storytelling into spaces of transformation.
