Who is The Afro Poppins?
Founder of I Know a Place, Gladys Nyoth, also known as The Afro Poppins, is an immersive chef and actress who blends art, culture, and hospitality to create meaningful experiences.
Born in France with roots in the Bassa tribe of Cameroon, her creations reflect authentic human narratives. Gladys curates influential collectives and self-sustained hubs through her private network, independent of systemic limitations.
With over a decade of experience, she has collaborated with brands like Adidas and organizations like Dillard University. Based between Los Angeles and Newtown, she pairs visual and edible arts at events, including those at ArtWRKD. Her work, deeply respectful of humanity, is dedicated to nurturing global leadership.
