Who is She?
Gladys Nyoth, also known as Lost Boi, is a French-born chef of Bassa heritage, actress, and cultural architect working at the crossroads of art, ancestry, hospitality, and cultural leadership.
With roots in the Bassa tribe of Cameroon, she draws from her heritage and international experiences to create spaces where storytelling, food, and human connection become tools for nurturing legacy and shaping the future.
Her work spans Los Angeles, the East Coast, and Paris, where she has spent over a decade working across culinary arts, creative production, cultural programming, and community development. From collaborating with artists and global brands to working alongside educational institutions and grassroots organizations, her practice connects different disciplines, generations, and communities.
As founder of I Know a Place, her vision reaches beyond individual projects. Through decentralized leadership, shared resources, and community-led spaces, she explores alternatives to systems that perpetuate inequality and disconnection — building practical ways for people to live, create, and care for one another with greater freedom, dignity, and humanity.
